Thanks to all for your replies and insight, you all have some sweet rides.

But im still not clear on the difference of the True dual crossovers vs the true dual headers with mufflers, as on the samson website the pics show both systems have the rear pipe go out to the left of the bike.
Would the "true dual crossover pipes" be an all one piece (header pipe into muffler)? Where as the true duals head pipes you have the ability/option of changing the mufflers? That is the only thing i can gather, Anyone would like to clarify if im wrong in this assumption.

 

On their website, you can buy a dual system which is header and mufflers(straight, fishtail, etc.) or you can buy just the dual headers.

I am sure glad you understand it and get it Nickvango because I am still a little stummped over that myself! I guess to much work and not enough play and sleep is catching up to me and dulling my senses!!! I would give my left nut for a day off and 10 straight solid hours of sleep.

 

True duals refers to the fact that both pipes are separate. If the pipe were not ature duals it would not be called true dual. As for the differences on the website I cannot help but if you are getting true duals they are two separate pipes that do not connect.

 

tru duals are on one side, crossove refers to the rear cylinder exhaust pipe "crossing over" to the left side of the bike. All Cholo style pipes for instance are crossover duals. where tracker56 has true duals but not crossover. I love my Sampsons though, 28.5 fishtails. they are decently quiet while cruising (ive never been behind me though) and really sing when youre on it.

Crossover is the same as the factory system found on Heritage & Deluxe,(A header pipe that crosses over to the left side, having two outlets, one on the right & one to the left).

Yup, thinking about swapping out my 36" mini cholo once Samson comes out with the monster super cholos that will be 51" long.
