Both statements are dumb. STAY AWAY FROM FROM CAGES...PERIOD. It amazes me every time a rider goes down...comes up with excuses...yet never tells how he/she was trying to protect themself. And to hear forum members coddling and making more excuses is pure BS. ABS more BS. Riding 3 feet off a cars azz end and ABS isn't going to help you one bit. Whatever happened to learning how to ride and protect yourself? This is why I dislike riding with RUBS and newbies. You can all flame me for being hard but it's just a bunch of crap to make excuses. STAY THE FCK AWAY FROM THE PROBLEMS. Granted, there's always an idiot cager but when someone chooses to ride a bike the responsibilty lies with them to protect themself. Riding 3 feet off a cages butt is stupid. No other way to explain it. No other excuses.

What the heck are you doing 3 feet from a car. That's just dumb. I'm sorry but that's totally dumb on your part. I don't feel sorry for you. Take a class and learn how to stay away from 3000 pound vehicles. It isn't the cars fault. You shouldn't have been riding his butt. How do you feel when a cage is riding your butt? if you want sympathy it won't come from me. Hopefully, you will learn from this and start taking better care of yourself and your bike. Just stay as far away from these clowns as you can. There's no reason to be 3 feet off the azz end of a 4wheelers unless you're looking for trouble.

Hey Cammer,
Sorry to hear of the drop, had a few close calls similar to yours myself. If you don't have them, you might consider installing engine guards. They really help in situations such as this.

Its hard to modulate the rear in a panic. Why not pay for a computer to do it for you?

PANIC STOPPED!!!! sounds like he was cut off by a car leaving only 3 measly feet of space and the car was breaking hard so that would mean the 3 feet was closing fast.....what kind of stop would you have done oh mighty motorcycle instructor?

It actually sounds like he was pizzed off because he got cut off and followed too close to the "offender" and suffered the consequenses.
