Default RSD rear fender

Hey guys i have an 07 Night train and i'm putting the RSD rear fender on, I'm trying to find out where people are mounting the ECM. My bike also has a power commander so there's a little more wiring underneath. I tried mounting it to the splash gaurd but the wiring doesn't seem to fit well. Any suggestions or advive is appreciated, thanks

I sent you a link to the thread where I built my rear fender It will show you all the steps. Also some people buy a shorter battery then put the ecm on top of the battery.

I've been looking at that RSD rear fender for my '08 Train, and wondering what seat you're going to running with it? Would a seat made to mount to the stock locations work with it? I have a Le Pera Barebones that I would like to be able to keep and mount with it if possible.

hi ..I have done the thing with ecm ..I placed it behind the oil tank and it makes a big differens . I planned to use my brawler seat but it doesnt fit , so be prepared for new saddle .. I use danny grey spring saddle ..
something else you should think about is to lower the rear a lot ..I ride the air ride from legend air . good luck

You will definitely have to use the seat that is available from RSD to fit the angles of the fender. The problem is this seat is a pain in the *** literaly. It is made by mustang but doesnt feel like any mustang I have ever riden on. When you lower the rear end two inches like I did it shifts your weight on the seat rearward. Putting constant pressure on my tailbone. The only other option is a custom seat. I had a guy on here tell me he went with Bitchin Seat Co. and their seat is awesome for this kit. It isnt cheap though plan about 500-1000 for most custom seats.

Anyone have pics of a La Perra with the RSD rear fender? I'm curious how bad it really is. Or is there a better alternative to the RSD rear fender?

I decided to mount the ECM on the splash guard, there was just too much under the seat for everything to fit right. I'll post pics as soon as i finish the project. Still need paint & lights, hopefully be done soon. Thanks for all the suggestions
