Thinking about switching from pegs to floorboards on my 05 softail standard and I couldn't find anything through the search function. I just want to make sure nothing will interfere with my shifter or brake pedal and if it's a straight swap. Anyone done this or have any info?
The running boards on mine have the same attachment mount as my stock pegs so i can flip em back and forth from boards to pegs with one bolt. It doesnt mess with any of my controls depending on the angle they are set at. Mine are leaning back not level to the ground so its a bit close to the break peddal but nothing that makes a problem i have seen.
ITOLDU, I would need the bracket that connects the rider boards to the frame as well, if you had that I'd be all over that. Do you have the bracket?
Thanks for the info Matt, that's pretty much what I was thinking.
I'm gonna turn my bike more into a cruiser, don't have it in the budget for a 2nd bike and this one is paid off so time to modify.
Wiseguy2day...Yes I have the brackets that connect the rider boards to the frame....sorry for taking so long to get back to you I was down with that freakin FLU BUG. Let me know if you are still interested in them I will PM you my number.
The brackets are fairly cheap new at the dealer. Like posed above boards are everywhere or you could upgrade to the swept pans for more style and choose a design other than the factory black rubber look. I found new take offs and bought the pans and hardware new. Cost me around 200 bucks. Love my boards
