Cool Imho

Body shop should be able to fix that for less than $200 and it will look right as rain, not something everyone spots right off. They did a similar spot for me, $125 and worth it.

Is it a pearl, or just white. Do you have a close up, is the black scuffs through the paint?
You can make a much better touch up than you think especially if it is not a pearl.
Get your touch up and just hit the chip with the brush where it is missing paint. Let it dry then take a real small piece of 400 wet dry sand paper, use it wet, and sand it smooth. Then hit it with 600, 1000 and 1500 all wet. Keep dipping the paper in water or run a hose on it.
Then rub it out with rubbing compound, then finish it off with a polish like dupont #7 or scratch and swirl remover.
A speck that small wont be noticed once done and it is in a good spot for touch up.

I dropped an Ipod on my tank and chipped the paint...

Apply just enough touchup to just over fill in the chip(s) alittle.

400 grit sandpaper is too course and will damage the existing paint. Start with 1000-1500 and finish with 2000-2500, use a stiff block and plenty of water. When it is smooth, wrap damp cotton t-shirt material around the block, coat it with something like Nu-Finish and hit it again. You need to keep the block moving over the radius so you don't get flat spots. Also, use a small block that will not overlap the good paint much.

I practiced on my truck's stone chips and after a couple I got it down to a routine where you could not tell, even in bright sunlight.

Google this up, watch for you-tubes, I'm not sure about white pearl but you can cetainly make it better.

Never had any luck with the touch up bottles and I wouldn't use any sand paper Polishing compound of any kind on Clear coat.....

I have used and have both the HD and Mcquirres swirl and polish. Both work good..

I have one little chip on the real fender, low and in the middle.. Lucky for me I just found a nice little Decale and covered it and now NO ONE can see it.. So U might find something to cover up the chip area and the Polish out the area around it with the Swirl remover as its really mild on Clear coat, instead of trying to repaint it.
