Can anyone give me any feedback on the Hoppe -vs- Dead Center Cycle fairings?
Pro's - Con's?
cant comment on the Hoppe, as I went with the dead center. Bought it as prewired/pre cut with auxillary. I installed an alpine head unit/alpine amp and JL audio C2 component set, dynamat.. loud and clean. All together with it painted it costed about $2,200 so I guess that would be the Con... got lucky, I had 14" carlini gangsters on the bike so it just cleared the fairing due to the sweep, with the bars not being rolled to far back. So make sure if you are going with apes buy the appropriate bar to work with your fairing of choice. Heres a pic, have a couple more in my album Scoot..

I got my fairing in, it won't fit with my ape hangers, I have 18 burley gorilla bars, do I need a special kind of bar so this will work ?? I seen some bagged bars that are curved but only 13" I would like 18 or possibly 20". I thought of pullback risers but I don't imagine they would look to good. Has anyone ever seen apes with pullbacks?. Nice or not?
With the wind like it's been, I wouldn't mind having a small one that fits over the headlight. I just don't know if it'd be worth the money or if it'd block that much wind.
What size do risers did you install? Can you post a picture of what it looks like? Thanks for your help.
I have 6" HD pullbacks with 10" Chubby's which gives me about 14" (maybe a little more) apes in height... I'm inseam impaired and with a lowered seat that puts my hands a little over my shoulders. It is a perfect set up for me. I thought I would just use the fairing once in a while - wrong, I haven't taken it off since I installed it. I'll try to get some pictures later.
Just purched the wide open farring for my wife's heritage soft tail it cost $850 for the basic unit complete with radio and four speakers or as I got the top of the line unit for $1020. It's in the paint shop now great looking unit can't wait to set it up
