Seems to be mostly (about 90%) stock baggers/touring bikes here. I think I've seen about one bike with long fishtails and one or two with beechbars. Plenty of apes though: (isn't that the first thing you do when you get a motorcycle to be bad-***?).

Projecting what you believe about others, doesn't make it so.

A lot of apes here and seeing more and more nice Sporty bobbers. Baggers are big here as well but mostly what we have living here are "Newlyweds and Nearly dead's".

I'd have to say around here we have quite the conglomeration of bikes. As far as my immediate surrounding area goes (NW Burbs of Minneapolis), I would say it is a pretty even split between baggers, softails, and Dyna's (with Fatboys and Softail Customs making up the brunt of the softy's).. Mostly chromed out.. I have never seen a big wheel bagger outside of a convention center though. I think they are too impractical for the 'minimum maintenance' roads that we have here in MN.

Sportsters seem to be popular among the younger guys (maybe 18-24 age group). They also seem to be the ones that are blacked out just as much as they are chromed. Don't see many rockets at the bars around here. Mostly just flying down the road with some 19 year old wearing his "schmedium" t-shirt, beach shorts, backwards cap, white sunglasses, and flip flops.. Occasionally you get a trike, or Boss Hoss.. Seldom.

What really grabs the attention out in front of the bars are the old bikes, along with the ratrods. My '71 Ironhead got way more attention at the bar than my Night Train does... But I'm not done with the train yet either. You want to get people to stop and look at your bike 'round these parts? Chrome it out, or show up on a beautifully done classic. We do have the select few guys around that have to be 'correct' police for the classic riders.. Or the 'if it were my bike'... Well, A) what's correct? And B) It's not your bike - it's mine, and GTF away from it.

Anyhow.. Now that I let you know what is on the road here, and vented a little... Keep on keepin' on.

The trend here in the Washington DC/Maryland/Northern Virginia area is mostly chromed-out bikes with tons of mods, mostly bolt-on's though. Tons of bikes in this area. There are two Harley dealers within 10 miles of where I live and they're always packed with people. My bike actually stands out here (being all black), but I've been in other areas of the country where blacked-out bikes are more normal.

If you ever took a grinder to your bike you can hang out with me. Cool kids in Florida? I think they are all on stock Street Glides.

Living on Long Island brings together every kind of style. There are baggers, choppers, customs, slightly modified and the whole line of sport bikes. On the weekends it looks like a motorcycle show down by the harbor in Pt Jeff.

Apes and stock Street Glides here. Also lots of newer bikes that just sit in the front yard and have a truck with a Bar and Shield sticker as big as the truck on the back window next to it.
