Default Whats your local trend

Before I get dumped on by everyone on here I am not saying one is better then the other. To each there own. I was just wondering if there is a culture in the general areas of North America, meaning blacked out over chrome, all black verses chrome, drag bars verse Apes,,, I am north of Ottawa and most of my buddies are huge into Blacked out bobbers with drag bars, I spend a bit of time on the east coast of Canada, and most of my buddies down there are huge into full dressers. I have a Chromed out lowered down Springer and fit in only when riding by myself (thats the way I like it though) Its cold here I am bored and just curious. Take care

They run the gamut here. More younger crowd on the rattle can black than older riders I see.

I'd say most of the bikes I see are of the "go through the parts catalogue and pick out every bit of bling you can" variety.

There's a few customs around that were built and not bought, but not many that I've seen. And by custom I don't mean everything bolt on.

People can ride whatever they want though.

I'm in Texas and I see both all black and all chrome bikes. Personally, I like a little of both. In fact, if I had the money, I'd like mine to have chrome rims but that's all. And if I bought new pipes, I'd go with chrome ones over the black. Black's nice but I don't want it to be the only thing you see.

The trend here is baggers. Everyone seems to be riding one. Chromed to the 9's, lowered, with 14" bagger apes and stretch bags artfully molded around high performance 2-1 pipes. With GPS tracking systems, satellite radios, and 1,000 watt amps and speakers. Billet wheels that will blind you without sunglasses and custom seats that massage your butt at the flip of a switch. Makes me sick....

Wish I had one.

I would have to say around here I see more and more baggers/dressers. It's probably a at least a 3:1 ratio of dressers to other rides.

Utah is so far behind, it's pretty much stock. Few baggers layed low.

Trend, as in the Harley bikes you happen to see rolling down the street? The trend here is easy, then:

Stock, maybe with some bolt on simple stuff (pipes, ac)

If you have apes, any parts you made yourself, long fishtails, ANYTHING out of the ordinary, you are well away from the 'trend.' If it doesn't bolt on with perfectly pre-drilled holes and chrome hardware, you are no where near the trend.

The trend right now here seems like Street Glides, tons of them on the road, mostly stock with a few bolt-ons.

Trend here is crotch rockets. Way more sport bikes on the road than cruisers.
