5 degree ridin......

Just got a new rental and had to move my bike today about 17 miles...in 5 degree weather...had on about all the cold gear i own and was pretty comfy except for my hands. I had on military issure arctic gloves and my hands were brutally cold...any recommendations on good, windproof gloves (not that I'll be riding in this **** again) ?

The only heated gear I own is a pair of 15 year old Gerbing heated gloves. Layered up behind all my fairings and windshield, that's all I need on my 40 mile commute.

I can not tolerate cold fingers anymore.

I'm runnin 18" apes so I'm catching everything...I may look into a pair of heated gloves.

I'd go electric gloves on that one, fer sure. Back in New York, when I rode in similar weather, I'd wear those big **** heated ski gloves with the D batteries in a compartment on top of the gauntlets. That was several years back, and I'm sure they got better stuff now.

I use the HD gauntlet gloves lined with the windtec fleece. I'll sometimes put on some UA cold gear thermal gloves underneath. They work great, but without heat it doesn't matter what you're wearing, your fingers will get cold after about 30 minutes in the saddle.
