Default non heated gloves

Need some gloves. Probably will not ride in temps less than 30 degrees. Looking at Gerbing-g3 gloves. Do not want another jacket or wires. Would prefer batteries. Looked at tourmaster, and it looks like there are newer brands out there comparing to the older threads I have read. Heated gloves would be sweet but it seems like with them all there are a bunch of extra expenses for wires batteries and controllers, and the batteries fail after a while.. . so, anyone know of good non heated leather gloves that are not super bulky, waterproof, and good for riding in 30 degree temps?

Have used the same batteries for my heated gloves for almost four years now and they still perform as good as when they were new.

Also have a set of Olympia gloves that I have had for about 10 years now and they are great gloves.

Earlier this year I upgraded a pair of Olympia Windtech gloves I have been riding in since 2007 for a new pair of Olympia 4102 Weather King gloves. They were kind of expensive at around $100 but based on how well my previous gloves had held up I was willing to spend the money. These are really nice gloves. My old ones are still in perfect condition but they aren't waterproof and my hands would get cold when they got wet. I have riden in the rain on several occasions in the new pair and so far my hands have stayed warm and dry

If you're riding in 30 degree temperatures you'll be more comfortable in a heated jacket liner with heated gloves.

If you insist on being a hardass, then consider Rev It! gloves. They're very warm.

'05Train, I have my ol' man's snowmobile leathers that I am going to give a whirl. Picked them up over Thanksgiving. These babies are so comfortable he wouldn't take them off the whole weekend on a snowmobile trip in northern MN and WI, so warm when he would crash at night he would just lay down on the cabin floor with his leathers on... Just need hands and feet and I should be good. If I didn't have these though I would be looking for the other heated gear.

Anyone using anything other than Gerbing heated gloves? How are those Olympia gloves? Are they thick and bulky?

30 degrees is freezing, IIRC! So riding at any speed will involve a chill factor and result in much lower temps. Insulating against that is going to require quite a bit of insulation and inevitably some thickness in the material used. I no longer ride in those temps through choice, but have a pair of BMW winter gloves for cold days. They come in black with an H-D racing orange lining!

I have 3 pairs of Gerbings gloves. First were HD branded Gerbings. Then the G 3's and latest the T 5 hybrids. Did not ride at all last winter so don't remember which are best but they all keep my hands warm. If I were to ever get another pair it would be these as they are made in America and this person started Gerbings. I think I would also like the dual controller over Gerbings.

Get a pair of silk glove liners put them on then put on your whatever gloves the silk glove liners are amazing. I have big hands but short fingers ( well paws actually) and have a pair of the big bulky gloves but rarely wear them because of the bulk so I found the glove liners a few years ago and for me they work great. I wear them under a pair of medium weight gloves that have a thinsulate lining and have ridden in temps down in the 20's and am fine.
Now my limited has heated grips so life is good.

I have a bunch of gloves including Gerbings. Aside from Gerbings, the warmest are the HD branded rain gloves. And if it rains, guess what? They don't get wet...
