batwing on softail
I looked and looked and then researched and researched for a batwing on a softail. Batwings may be common, but I wanted something that would truly come off the bike clean when the batwing is not in use.
I used the HD quick disconnects from my Harley shield. I created my own brackets from aluminum (about 1/8"). It wasn't that difficult and I am not an expert at bike modifications.
Here are some pictures of my results.

The Memphis shades factory setup has small bolts that are part of the quick release. When you remove the fairing or shield the bolts remain. With the HD quick release there is nothing left on the bike after shield removal.

Good on-ya! Looks super clean! I dig the fab. You should put the dimensions of the bracket template for those that will copy it in the future.
