Default Oil pressure

I have a 2000 Heritage Softail(FLSTC) TC-88

What is the normal oil pressure I should be getting? I just installed an oil pressure gauge and am curious....

Well, I've just ridden mine since I put the new gauge on and cold I'm showing 40 lbs at idle. Once it has warmed up, I'm showing 10 lbs at idle and around 30-35 at a 2500 rpm cruise. Keep in mind that it is 45-55 degrees here which may make a difference in how warm my engine is getting. Also, I have the SE pump and cam plate installed. Your results may vary.

I'm getting around 40psi when I first start it also, after warm up and I'm idling I'm getting around 10 to 12 psi and around 30 psi cruising....

I'm using Syn3 in the tank.

Cold start I show approximately 36-37 psi. When hot, I run approximately 26-28 psi at idle and 32-34 psi cruising.

What a difference a good gauge makes.
Amsoil 20/50 in the motor for now. Gonna try Valvoline 20/50 full syn at next change.
