Default Send help please, chrome switch housing install problem!!

I'm trying to installl chrome switch housings on my 2012 Heritage. The left side went on perfect, but I can't get the throttle cables removed from the stock housing???

They come out. You need to wiggle them while pulling them away from the housing. They pop back in easier than they pop out.

Those should snap out. Mine were not so tight, but the manual says they snap in and out. Firm but gentle pressure should do it.

They are a pain in the a$$, but there are snap rings around the tubes on the inside. they are not normal snap rings with the little eyelets, they are more like a broken ring of wire. you need two small straight screw drivers to kind of spread them and coax them off. Good luck.

If you look closely at your second pic. you can see the snap ring on the lower tube,

I thought they was a snap ring there, but I'm using the smallest screw driver I have but still no dice??

So they'll come out or pop out with a firm tug???

Just pull on them with a hard jerk and they will come out.

Don't waste time trying to remove the spring rings. Just pull them out. They can be tough making think you are going to break something removing at times.
