Maybe there might be a permenant snap ring inside to keep them from slipping out. But my 07 just took a good pull to get them out. I replaced my cables & grips a few months ago. Now my throttle is nice & tight with no play.

A couple of ice picks or awls will get those rings out.

It's your sled, do what you want. But I removed my rings. Something about grabbing it and giving it a jerk doesn't set right with me. But, to each their own. Again, Good luck.

Skip to 6:20 to see them pop out.

Hit the YouTube link at the top of the video. Direct play doesn't seem to work.

It says " This Video Does Not Exist". It realy does say that. ??????

Nevermind I got it.
I think I would be a little upset if a shop did that. Because, I know that the snap rings are there.
