I’m hoping some of you guys can give a bagger guy some info. I’m looking for a rear wheel for a wide rear tire mod (170-180) involving fender mods and a belt to chain drive conversion for my 05 bagger.
I’ve heard some of the Dyna’s and Softails have 4.5-5.5 wide rear wheels that have the same hub width as the 05 baggers. The problem I’m having is finding out which model year wheels to look for. Any help is appreciated.
I was just about to post a similar question in regards to a rear wheel swap. Can't find much on here so hopefully someone will chime in to one of our post.
4.5" rims are on the 06 and newer Dyna's. The rim is 17x4.5. Personally, I'd want a wider rim to run a 180 tire on. Something like a 5.5 would be better idea.
