Default yet another bar change...

Man this bar sitiuation is driving me to the "bar" I had apes complained about those changed them to bikini bars now I am putting a fairing on and the bikini bars look like poop SO i'm going to go to Wild 1 chubby road king II bars...Man oh man I hope these are the ones. But this time I'm tackeling the thing myself I'm thinking the cables will be the same ( I hope) so the only thing I will have to do is the wires. I do have a question can the wires be spliced at the bottom of the bars or so I just do the whole thing beacuse the wires should be the same length also..Any help would be good!

I would pull the wires and do it right from the beginning. The less splicing, the less likelyhood of a problem down the road.

How hard is it to pull the tank and mess with all that stuff? I think I'm going to get lucky and not have to change the cables so I'm trying to simplify things...

Not hard at all. In fact, when I did my bar change I didn't even pull the tank, I just slid it back to access the plugs on each side of the frame. Before you did it, just read, read and read more to make sure you understand what to do. Also, make SURE you unhook the fuel line...don't want that breaking off. Do a search, there are tons and tons of topics on it so I don't need to rehash. In fact, search for topics that I started and you will see some topics and post on it.

I will check it out. I'm pretty sure the deluxe has the connector under the tank so I have to pull the tank
