I'm not a fan of the studs either. The back of the bike is what I'm gonna work on next. New seats, bags, replace turn signal bar, and quick release kits for bags and sissy bar.

I went with the heritage over the deluxe..well for one I got a good deal for it. The comfy back pillion and sissy bar for wiffy, detachable wind shield and 12" ape bars. Even though I'm not fond of the bags...at least I have bags to start. All of these are things I don't have to buy or replace yet.

I don't think i need the thunder Torque inserts. The nice thing about Rush is they have interchangable baffles. i can order the 2" ones which i'm also considering.

I"m not fond of the Studs (but they have grown on me) but ya i'm thinking of changing out the seat and the bags..just not sure which way to go with the bags. I like the sundowner two piece seat and the mustang wide two piece.

I didn't like the studs either...was gonna change my bags out for hard bags. But the wife is all gaga over them, and I gotta admit, I'm starting to like the look myself. Getting in and out of them is not nearly as easy...but getting used to that too. If I was going to be doing lots of touring on it, I'd end up with hard bags though, just for the ease of use and more capacity.

The seat is amazingly comfortable for me...first stock HD seat that my *** doesn't start hurting after a few hours.

RE the TTI's, we have not run into a pair of slip-ons that they did not improve, regardless of the baffles, and we've done a lot of work with the Rush.

Congrats again on the new ride!

You think the ride you have now is great you will NOT believe the difference when you put the SS system on.
We went from an '06 1200C Sporty to the '12 Softail and the factory ride was great on the Softail, but, after installing the SS system, well, it is hard to find the words on the improvement in the ride, phenomenal and riding two up is where the SS shines. We have some rough train track crossings around our house and the first time over them with the stock suspension was an eye opener , we both have bad backs and those tracks gave us the reminder, then after the SS install we went over the same tracks and was waiting for the SHOCK of hitting the tracks but it was NOT there. The SS system just ate the shock up.
Not having to crawl under the bike to adjust the shock preload is one of the BIG pluses for this system and the other, as mentioned before, is the ride.
Not sure if JD is still running the HD Forum special price, $1250.00 shipped, but you can contact him and find out, oh yeah, SS also has stellar customer service.
