Default Primary chain adjust

I need to loosen up my chain. It only has 3/8 play when it's cold. The manual calls for 5/8-7/8 when cold. But, I can't get they tensioner to move down. It seems like its at its limit??? But, I don't know. Is there some kind of manic trick to get it to go down?

Yah, I think I will. I just can't see it well enough and can't seem to do it through that little space. I wouldn't mind getting familiar with this bike anyway.
