funny that you put it that way, i find myself liking that springer look more and more the older i get. I"m seriously considering putting a springer front end and some fat spoke wheels on my rocker.
Springers are the only reason I bought Harley to begin with. Now that I have been around Harley Davidson motorcycles for a while I have grown to like many others models but even the ones I really admire will always come second when it comes to my Springer.
I don't think love for Springers requires one to be old, but as one ages, their taste for the nicer things in life grows as well. Springers are the top of the line in presence, style and performance. Everything a mature/experienced rider could want.
But if encouragement is what you are after, I say: you are not getting any younger. The sooner you get a Springer, the sooner you can enjoy it.
07 green heritage springer is on my wish list!!!! By far the best color combo on those things. I'm absolutely in love with my springer. Had it for nearly a year and a half and will never get rid of it. Something about having something different is the way to go!
It doesn't matter what age you are! As long as I can remember I've wanted a springer. I'm now 25 and ride a 05 springer classic with fat spokes, apes, etc. kind of a cholo style bike.
I wouldn't change it for anything.
I wasn't a fan of them when I was 18-20, but when I finally got another HD and towards my late 20's I really started digging them. I'd like to see a deuce with a springer front end.
I have always liked them but never had one until I bought my Classic in 05. Have no intention of ever getting rid of it.
I actually considered selling it a couple years ago. Then I went on a nice long ride and said "there is no way I can part with this thing"!
I do tend to prefer the older style bikes to the new however and I'm sure that plays into the love of my Springer. I've been trying to make it look 50 years old since I bought it.
