I actually put the bolts in a 1/2" cordless drill to spin the them. then sanded them smooth in order.
320 grit
400 grit
red sctochbrite
grey scotchbright.
Then buffed them with mothers polish

I cant find a way to get into the splines for the 12point socket.
But there alot better than they were. beats 60$ for chrome ones

Nice, I was thinking of using a drill too, but was considering a Mother's buffing ball.

Putting the bolts into a drill like you did might be the ticket. Thanks!

The buffing ball will just tear into shreds with the splines on the bolt head. About guarantee it!

This cold is killing me! Tried to put some things together last night, and it was so cold the Loctite came out in clumps. I'm getting antsy and want to get this done. I don't know why though, too cold and too much snow to ride.

Looks good QC!

I got some work done too today, though not much. Still waiting for some parts to show up.

Pistons - some pretty good build up. Not bad I guess, for 23,380 miles.

Waiting for the new cylinders and heads!

Got the new ECM tray mounted and the PCV installed. Waiting for an updated map from Fuel Moto.

And that's about it for today.

Pistons look about like mine. Getting the keepers out is fun, isn't it? One of mine shot out into the front yard somewhere. I've got a map, need to upload it. May need help with that, I'm a computer idiot.
Oil is draining, air filter is drying out. Damn the blizzard tomorrow, full speed ahead!!
One thing, when remounting the throttle body, make sure you push up on it. When I tried to put the air cleaner mount, the three standoffs didn't align with the TB. Had to get in there with all that stuff in the way to loosen the flanges.
