in progress:
so ive had the used HD springer front end since summer. im a lazy slow builder.
heres what it looks like today.
the thing about a blackline springer is: where do you put the speedro-nometer? back where it belongs of course.
i made a bracket that sandwiches between the riser adapters and the risers. thread risers on and the bracket is held tight.
still needs: a custom brake line, extended signal wires, and lacing an old 3/4 hub on to my 2012 rim, disassembly for powdercoating.
i think hd meant for this build to happen....
the speedometer wont fit between the risers and the tank if left in its oem orientation. but if you flip it around backwards it fits just fine. i opened up the speedo to find that with only the trimming of a small piece of plastic that the business parts of the speedo will invert inside the housing.
same goes for the rectangular light cluster.
