That's my choice too. I went through 4 different ear phones to find a set that knocks out the wind noise the best. Can't remember the brand, but they look like foam earplugs mounted on earphones. Not marshmallows (they suck) but it's a foam material. Wal-Mart has them for around $20.
iPod and Skull Candy earphones for me, but only on longer stetches on the highway. The tunes help pass the time on those long boring stretches and the earphones block most of the wind noise. And I usually listen to Pandora as my music library is rather lacking.
