Default Question concerning a Fork Stabilizer

Anyone have one of these or know anyone with one, if so do they work? http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/fo...part/SB-5193DB I know back home in Missouri and riding on the interstate the front end would start getting a little squirrelly at high speeds. Now I am in Germany and riding on the Autobahn at higher speeds, just looking for something to help with the front fork wobble. Also, I know for crotch rockets they use steering dampeners do they make something like that for Harley's?

Thank you for your comments

Send Branner a pm. He's a fellow train owner, and he has a steering stabilizer setup on his. He can be found over in the train pic thread, too.

I have a fork brace and it has provided more stiffness as far as twisting and flexing, but I don't really ride fast enough, except a couple times, to encounter any wobble. I believe it does make the front end feel more "connected" if that makes any sense. My experience has been that at sustained extra legal speeds (85 MPH) I have not run into any wobble problems and that tank slap is usually a result of some part or parts of the bike being worn or out of adjustment. Hope this helps.

I mounted the Super Brace on my 03 Train. Definite improvement in handling.

For the wobbling you are talking about a steering stabilizer is what you want. A fork brace will help but a stabilizer will do what you want. Funny thing is I have neither on my softail and I don't get wobbles at 100+ at all. Maybe check the steering head bearing tightness...
