Hey guys and gals, I'm a proud new owner of a Harley Davidson Softail Slim! well, I haven't picked up the bike yet, it's in delivery and should be here mid April - but all the paperwork is done!
After visiting the parts guy that introduces you to the million and one accessories for your bike, I noticed that a $19,000 bike can turn into a $29,000 bike fairly quick!!!
Anyway, one of the parts I'm getting upgraded are the handlebars. I'm not totally into the 16" HD ape hangers that harley has...
Any idea where I can find aftermarket accessories for my bike? hopefully I can save a few bucks and get something that I really like - mainly the handlebars, maybe the rear fender as well.
Thanks to all that can put their 2 cents in, I do appreciate it!
Enjoy the bike. You will love it. I like using HD parts when they fit my need, but cosmetically, I have used other companies seats and just replaced hd swingarm bag with leatherworks one. HD is now authorized to install V&H pipes and you don't lose your warranty with them. Just look through some of the picture threads for the slim and you will get a lot of ideas and people generally tell you where they bought the mod from. Oh and get ready to spend a few $$$$ LOL
