Default My seat won't stay on the bike......

I have a 95 FXST. The hole on my rear fender where the back of my seat gets screwed in has come loose. More specifically, the sleeve that the bolt screws into has come out. Would a little crazy glue keep that sleeve in it's place?

If it's like my 05 FXDI, there is supposed a plastic "C" type washer between the seat and the fender. It is what holds things together. $1.89 from H-D for the nut and washer. I have absolutely no idea how I know this info. Art

I took my rear fender off and had my welder TIG a I' long x 1" wide x 1/4" thick piece of steel that I'd pounded into a curve to fit the fender profile. Drilled & tapped, and permanently fixed. Would've used just a nut, but the hole in my fender was pretty well chewed up & enlarged.

If you go to the dealers and get the setup for the newer bike like mine 03 deuce, you can enlarge the fender hole and put the threaded nut in it and the clip that holds it in from the top and your done
