i ask cause i am wanting to make a set of bars for myself
i have some 1 inch tube i was going to use but when i started thinking i may want to go with 1.25 i started wondering if bars are made from pipe or tube as there is a significant side wall difference between the 2
pipe is thicker so i would think stronger but also harder to bend
Since handlebars are measured by the O.D. and tubing is measured by the O.D. then I would say look for some 1.25" seamless tubing. Pipe is measured by the I.D. Probably the best way to go about it is to find some 1.25" tubing with .125" wall thickness. Then you would be able to slip 1" tubing into it for the step downs for the controls
