They bolt right on, no need to spend the extra $$$$ it's just a spacer that pushes it out another inch, no need.

the local Harley dealership said they don't make it for my year/model deluxe??? WTF?

the right side wont fit with stock pipes. They said it wouldnt fit my bike either. Took it out of box and had it on in 5 minutes

The P&A catalog mentioned it wouldn't fit a 2012 Heritage either. I took the chance and bought it. The difference, in my case, is the mounting bracket for the toolbox attaches to two fender rail bolts and the footboard mount. The problem is the spacing of the fender rail bolts. They are wider than the mounting plate. So, my tool box is mounted on 2 of the 3 bolts (1 fender rail and the footboard mount) and it is solid.

Yea you're right. The stock exhaust will definitely get in the way.

But for us who don't have stock exhaust...it should work! I want to make sure with the P/N though since I'm buying it from Surdyke.com
