Default 2000 up wheel

My First question

I have a 60 spoke rim with the sealed beaings 200 and up. I want to install it on my 99 softail. will it drop in? can I just use the spacers for a 2000 softail wide glide? thanks

No, 2000 and up has sealed bearings, 99 and down are tapered roller bearings, it's not a direct fit.

I put 2000 & up wheels on my 97 heritage. The inner hubs are a tad bigger so you have to machine out the inner brake rotor mounting area. A machine shop did mine for 10 dollars. I had to buy new axle spacers too, about 10 bucks for them also. Im glad I did the swap as I like the sealed bearings much bettter.

yea I know the pre 99 has roller and the 2000 and up use sealed. I guess I am asking will the 2000 rim drop in with the 2000 and up wheel spacers on the 99 lower legs? and I plan on getting a new rotor floating one

Yes you can use the 2000 and newer spacers. It will drop right in.
