If it gets close to freezing will the security system quit or something like that. This morning I was leaving my sister inlaws in Georgia to come home. I loaded my bike in the back of my truck last night because we were going to leave around 5:30 to beat the traffic in Atlanta. This morning I strapped a fob to the bike so the blinkers would not flash. Well that did not work they still flashed, even with the other fob also. So I tried to crank it, no luck. So I unhooked the battery and came home. Got home just a little while ago and I hooked up the battery and everything was fine. Cranked right up so I could unload it. Could the cold cause this or something else? Thanks for any help.

I think there's some sort of "transport" or "travel" mode you can set (which disables the system) for when you need to haul it, for just the reason you mentioned...
Cold can have an effect on electronic connections causing open circuits, but I wouldn't imagine the temp in Georgia gets cold enough to create this problem.
You have to put it in transport mode like a couple of the other guys said. I discovered this one night on I-40 in the middle of nowhere hoping I could find somewhere to pull over and fix it before a cop pulled me over. Getting pulled over for stealing your own bike would make a good story though I guess.
I don't think it's the cold and instead has to do with the security system when the bike is being transported/moved without running...I had to transport my bike by trailer twice due to "harley davidson" features...Both times I put the fob in my saddle bag but the security system thinks it's being bagged and acts weird or it's confused. Once it's off the trailer and FIXED AGAIN, everything is fine. Hopefully I don't have to confirm this with a third test, LOL. Don't worry and ride safe.
Ps I live in New England, 3 feet of snow in the yard right now...I have ridden as cold as 25 degrees without any security system issues, now my hands were another issue...
