Whoa. Wanna be R. Lee Ermey. Lighten up. If you think I would seriously consult a motorcycle forum for financial advice, then I'm afraid the joke is on you. We're all just having a little fun here. While I respect your strong personal thoughts on financial independence and responsibility (and I do)....If you want to make your case for the consequences regarding the saving/spending habits of "most Americans"....... Start your own thread....or take it elsewhere.
and now for something completely different........
you asked and got a response...your post implied nothing about joking..you're bluffin.
BLUFFIN MCMUFFIN!
you are looking for financial advice on a forum, arent you! go ahead and paypal me that money.
honestly, you expected something OTHER from the internet?
Well, our tax refund wouldn't put a dent in what we owe on the both our bikes, so we opted for using some of it to buy a few things we felt we need but didn't want to add on to the purchase price of the bike and adding more to the monthyly payments and additional interest. The rest is helping to pay a couple unexpected medical/dental bills.
If our refund had been enough to pay off a vehicle, that's what I would have done. But the things we opted to buy were not just bling. Well ... maybe just a little bling. But mostly saddlebags, racks, engine guard for mine. New, comfortable seat (is that considered bling or necessity, hmmmm).
Normally our refunds go toward vacation also, but not this year. Hubby has a new job, and no vacation. :-(
Can't tell if your joking (someone should create sarcastic font to eliminate ambiguous tone in correspondence). I'm going to go with... you are joking.... since every other commercial for the last few months has been from either Turbo Tax, Tax Act, or H&R Block....all claiming to be the best at maximizing your REFUND. Now back to looking for those early HD tank emblems.....
