So Monday i dropped off my 07 standard at FuelMoto to get the 107 kit installed. I just want to say thank you to Jamie and the guys at FM. You guys were very welcoming, knowlegdable and run a top notch business. I am very pleased with the results and cant wait for winter to end here in Manitoba so i can test it out.
Im having difficulties trying to post the dyno but heres the down low...
Ive got a 2007 softail standard, before all i had was VH short shots, VH air cleaner, Woods tw 777 cams and adj pushrods and a pcIII base map, no tune.
My max HP was 77.61 and Torque was 92.81
I had FM install the 107" big bore kit
10.5 compression
Level B heads
SE 4.9 injectors
Woods lifters
And the results were....
108.64 HP and 121.26 torque
I believe that was a 5th gear run. When Jamie ran a 6th gear run the results were a little higher
110.94 HP and 124.32 Torque
Also if you can see in the pics my bike had the silver cylinders and heads. FM did not have any with the same colour so i went with the black heads and cylinders, turned out really nice.
Sorry no pics of the dyno results cant seem to get them uploaded. I will have to try something else and post later.
Thanks, I am very happy with the numbers. I wasn't sure what I was gonna get still having the 2-2 short shot pipes and not a 2-1. I'm gonna have to wait a while considering the amount of snow we still have here
I can't believe you were only getting 77 HP and 92 TQ with a Stage 1 and Wood 777 cams. You should be getting that even without the cams with a basic Stage 1....although you did say you never had it tuned so that could be why. But you did say you had a PCIII (which is what I have)... did FM give you a tune based on your set up?
I know one thing, I would be REALLY upset if I took mine to get it dyno'd and only got that little HP and TQ out of my set up (Stage 1, PC III and Wood 555 cams).
Around 3K US give or take. Plus the cost of travel. it was much cheaper then if I would have had done locally, plus you can't put a price on FM customer service and quality of work, they were great!
I also had done the cams myself last winter.
The tune I originally had was just a basic map designed for what I had at time, but I installed the cams myself and my timing was off so there were lots of variables that could of effected that previous HP.
No I can't tell a difference because I have not had a chance to ride it yet....still have 4ft of friggin snow in Manitoba. But it did sound pretty awesome on the dyno!!
