Saving those Cholo tips...
Seems like every one of the [many] posts about Cholo pipes seems to have someone concerned about dragging. It's pretty much a given that if you are running long pipes, especially on a lowered bike, that you are going to drag. The replaceable tips from Samson are a good idea, but I thought I would share the cheaper option that I devised with pretty good success.
It's pretty basic, I drilled a 3/16 hole in the bottom of each tip about a half to 3/4 of an inch from the end. Then I put in a 3/16 pop rivet with the wide head (1/2" I think) in from the bottom. i removed the nail from the pop rivet and carefully swelled the rivet with a rivet tool to make it look nice. Then I peined the wide head of the rivet to match the bottom contour of the fishtail. It's pretty minimal so it doesn't look bad, and is replaceable when it wears out (I've already changed them a couple times).

Just thought I'd share with the rest I the Cholo lovers out there!
