Missing the storage my SG offered with the bags. Hell I can't even go to the store for a carton of BlueBell!
I don't really want the expense of adding bags to my FB so I guess I'm leaning towards some type of modified tour pak or trunk for my sissy bar. Any recommendations for something in the middle? Not to big, or not to small? But something "just right".
Surely I'm not the only one that wants the cruiser look of a bike, yet still needs some storage for day to day issues.
I have a H-D sissybar backpack. Actually has quite a bit of room. Padding for a laptop, side pockets for bottles. Expensive for a backpack, but I like it enough to hang it off my sissybar every day for my lunch, thermos, etc.
I bought the MOCO quick detachable tour pack rack. Clips on and off in seconds. Pretty much any trunk will bolt to it. The size trunk is up to you. I had a trunk made to match my detachable saddlebags, but thats just me. There are two very popular ebay vendors selling tour packs that come painted in a variety of colors, and they are like 150 bucks delivered. For me the key was the MOCO rack, because I think the trunk really takes away from the bikes style, and I want it off as fast as possible when not in use. The quick detach rack fit the bill perfect. But when the wifes on the back for all day affairs, I probably couldn't live without the thing.
My tour pack, back seat and saddlebags are all quick release. So one 90 seconds latter....:

The HD tour pack holds a lot of gear, including a full sized helmet. It also has a handle so you can use it as a suitcase when you get to your destination.
I am leaning toward a roll pack of some sort to sit on my luggage rack. My bags are super convenient, but sometimes I just like the look of the bike without them.
I picked up a used T-bag for the sissybar on the cheap from Ebay. You could look on Cragslist or Ebay for a handlebar or sissybar bag and not blow alot of money and they both come in many sizes.

Holy ****...he changed his exahust in 90seconds?? What a hero.
I have a backrest that I ground off the tips (found it in the DIY mods section) so I can get it on/off in a minute, and I have the HD luggage that just slips on.
I didn't want to go with the quick-release because of the turn signal relocation issue.
I have a small bag big enough to put a jacket in gallon of milk, won't hold a 12 pack of long neck Lone Star but will hold a 6 pack of can. Oh a carton of Bue Bell is no problem this I know for sure. It wasn't priced that hi I think around $80 for it and a bigger bag. It's a Rally Pack.
