i am trying to relocate my turn signals to my forks, but the dealer says that because my 2011 FXS has a BCM, the wires are ran different then the older bikes, and i can't do it. are they blowing smoke up my a$$ or is this true? has anyone done it? and before you say it, yes, i have searched the forum before i posted this, thanks in advance.
Yup full of crap!
All you have to do is cut them between the pods and the switch housing rignt about in the middle as there is just a little bit of wire to mess with, and add the length needed to run back down through the bars to where you want them mounted. I added my own connectors that you can get from J&P or any other distributor so I can disconnect them when I need to. I soldered and used wire loom to make it look factory.
