Could you fly over to the states, buy a bike and then just pay the shipping costs? I'm sure that's what my parents did but with a car. They lived in the states, had a car there and just paid $1000 to have it shipped to UK when they moved back.

It would between the Springer and the softail heritage. I know that the springer has significantly more miles on her but they don't make springers anymore. I guess it would come down to condition and maintenance.

Esteboatan. You are correct wen you live in the states and move to Europe. You can then import without vat/customs.

I know the springer is more rare. This also why I consider the nostalgia. Only I do not like the two tone chopper blue/silver paint job that much.

I keep looking and maybe I go the import road.

Then I can focus in twin cam 2007 up, I heard they make some improvements from 2007

If I decide not to buy 2006 Springer I'll put you on touch with the owner if you're interested (and if it's still available). It's a sharp bike, and looks to be in pristine condition. I'll decide by the end of he week.

Dynamitebuzz,

Thanks. I will appreciate it. I try to find bikes but I am having a hard time finding the right sites. I am using chopperexchange for now.

Chopperexchange is a good site. Cycletrader.com is another. Good luck to you.

Well when the time comes to sell you have either a bike that there are a lot of or a bike that a collector is looking for. Financially I think the Moo Glide would be a better hedge and by the way it is a nice bike that you will not see many of at bike shows. I have had two EVO motors from mid 90's with no issues but they are well taken care of. More research on this motor will let you sleep at night. Good luck!

You Guys does not make it any easier for me :-)

I find a new opportunity which is growing on me. I want a bike you cannot find on every street corner (In Holland due to the prices this is true for every Harley lol).

I find a 2002, softail springer classic, flsts, 9.000 miles, color black/burgundy, fishtails pipes, classic horn in front, engine quard, detachable screen etc. This bike is also in mint condition. I can get it for $ 16.500 without quarantee and $ 16.750 with a 3 months quarantee. (Prices in Holland are around $ 5.000 higher than in the states) This is also a ride you don not see much around here and there are less springers than softail deluxe or heritage out there i think.

What do you guys think.

I am down to two bikes:

the 1993, original moo glide, 5.000 miles in showroom condition: 17.000 dollar, evo carb.

2003, flsts heritage springer, 9.000 miles, in showroom condition: 16.500 dollar, twin cam carb.

I am looking for a rare bike with some collectors value.

Which one would you choose and why?

Hope to hear from the you experts.

Thanks in Advance
