The Moo Glide seems to be the choice as an investment. You won't put many miles on it so it should keep its value. I would start looking in the U.S. for bikes and ship it over. It should be cheaper. I'll sell you mine for $22,000.

Don't forget that you also have a lot of American servicemember's living overseas in Europe.
Check out all the yardsales sites: Spangyardsales.com ; ramsteinyardsales.com ; etc. Would be a great way to pickup an American spec bike without paying VAT and customs fees. A lot of the bikes are priced to sell fast as many of these guys are getting ready to move and can't take the bike with them.

Tanks for the tip man on fire.

Important from the us is not cheaper. We have to add at least 30% taxes, shipping fees etc.

If the bike is in Europe already, than i only need a control for dutch licentie of appr. 250 dollar.

I start looking

The lux.red/vivid black has appr.9.000 miles but was too much molested too my taste.

The real red/bright silver was in mint condition. This one has 19.250 miles. I have to check the cam chain tensioners by this one and maybe replace them.

I am leaning towards the heritage springer big time (real red/silver), it is the twin cam carbureted version. I want to put supertrapp fishtails on them. Or is it wise to wait for a 98/99 evo with the more classic paint job (white/red / white/blue or black.blue).

The nostalgia is out because it is a 93 nostalgia with built date 94. I went to 3 harley dealers and they all confirm that the 93 nostalgias where built in 93 and not in 94 so here is someting strange.

The first EVO's are getting expensive over here too. I have the TC carb and love it. I did love my EVO's for sure. Older bikes could lead to other problems (seals, gaskets etc..) so be prepared for that especially very low miles. You can paint the bike however you want.

Good luck, can't wait to see what you get.

I am going to test ride the 02 flsts real red/silver.
I have the following list:

- check bearing front end
- check maintenane history
- check vin number
- General feel of the bike
- Ride and get the feeling

Goal:
- Nice flsts with a deep sound (fishtails)
- Low solo seat (Danny Gray speedcradle)
- Good service by delivering (new oil etc. With check/replace of the cam chain tensioner)
- Fair price

Hopefully I am going to succeed!

I think in Europe, the springer is going to be the bike that gets the most looks (I am assuming it is a classic springer and not FX springer). that would be my choice of course for your type of riding and location.

Actually the Classic springer will look cool anywhere in this side of the galaxy.

Another Note, Softails are 'rigid mounted' engines, the pre 2000 softails will rattle very hard on speeds above 100Km/h , so keep this in mind, if you plan any rides on highways that are fast, you would not be very happy with the quality of the ride.
All 2000 and after Engines have been 'balanced'.
Other models (Dynas and FL touring bikes) have rubber mounted engines so you see the engine shake as if it almost wants to leave the bike but you do not feel it in your arms , shoulders, teeth and legs .
