Believe it or not,,, its all about Ergonomics of Ur bike....
Seat, Forward controls and Bars can play Havoc on Ur body..
since U didn't even mention what bike U have,, its hard to say any more...
sorry but I cant read U mind on what Ur have in ur post..
for me at 63 even with having had a shattered vertebrae and a totally messed up right knee in my past our Heritage in stock form doesn't give a min of pain on our 6-7 day long trips and we ride 8-10 hrs a day.
Its all about Ergonomics and How ur bike fits U.. Not trying to make U fit Ur bike..
I have a 99 Softail standard. Not sure of the seat, but it's aftermarket and comfy. The bars are drag bars. I've tried changing them, and ended up going back to them because they're better than the ones I changed to. I've tried different risers, etc.
I figured - maybe it's just my old wounds that aren't gonna give me a break.
I'm going to try some 10" apes with pullback risers next. It just stinks trying to find a set of bars that works for me. I have two pair in my garage that I'm selling right now cause they didn't work.....
