Just wondering what you use to tighten your clutch adjustment nut? Anybody found a way to actually use a torque wrench on it? I was thinking about buying a pass-through socket set to tighten it so I can keep a hex wrench on the center screw. Anybody snug it up and then put a torque wrench on it without holding the adjustment screw?
Open end wrench. Torque is only about 15 in lbs, which isn't much at all. Snug it, give the wrench a couple whacks, done. Don't over tighten! That clutch release plate is only $20, but you'll have to search all over and drive for miles to find one in stock.
Best and easiest I've found to use is a DoyBone wrench.
and don't over tighten the nut.. its easy to do.
I dont' remember what the tq value is but that nut is in (IN Lbs) not Foot pounds. Several members HAVE stripped the bolt that the nut goes on and its a PITA to fix...
