It was fun while it lasted - traded in the Fat Boy...
Well after much discussion and contemplation, the wife and I traded in the 2012 FatBoy Lo for a new street glide.
Granted I only had 1700 miles on the bike, with some upgrades (pipes, apes, etc), but since i did all the work myslef and did not purchase an extended warranty - i got a good trade in value on it and only needed to pay an additional 2k to get a new street glide.
i learned a lot from you folks and this is by far the best set of forums i have visited!
This was my first Harley and i will miss her - but I am sure we will also enjoy the new wheels just as much.
Over to the touring forums i go - but I will continue to visit here as nothing says "badass" like a softail - who know... maybe someday I will get another!
I guess im going to craiglsit the stock bars and pipes so i can buy some new goodies for the street glide!
Congrats. I sat on one last year and it felt comfortable just sitting on it.
I didn't ask for a test ride since I wasn't ready to add a third bike yet.
Congrats on the new street glide, it seems that's the common trend around here. I use to think the street and road glides were hideous machines but then they started growing on me and the endless potential they have when customizing them. Not to mention the bags and the comfort. In retrospect I would of jumped on a bagger from the get go. Good luck and hope to see pics of the SG. Ride safe!
