Your bike looks awesome dude !!! I decided to do this to my bike last week after struggling with bad bearings on my rocker.
Alain, please think two or three times before pulling the trigger on switching from a swingarm mounted fender to a frame mounted fender.
The frame mounted fenders can look really good when the suspension is slammed. Pretty punishing to ride that way. The stock Rocker setup keeps the fender close to the tire at all times, with pretty close to a normal softail suspension travel.
Warp, no need to worry my friend. I had the same concern you just raised when I was considering the heartland Kit earlier this week.
I came really close to buying the heartland kit but as luck would have it I was able to buy a take off stock rocker rear fender (with tail lights and everything) for $400 cash last night from my local HD dealer. I'm gonna cut that later this week. I'm gonna keep it as long as possible to match the full front fender I got coming.
I'm gonna be cutting the rear fender right at the spot where the tail lights are installed on the stock fender since I'm gonna move the tail lights further towards the front of the fender (same spot I have them now).
Hopefully I'll be able to massage it to where I like it. Slap some paint on both fenders and see what it looks like.
I didn't wanna shell out money to lower the bike if I went with the Heartland kit.
Stay tuned. I'll start a thread once both fenders and the tank dash are wrapped up.
Don't wanna drag you guys along like I did with the clip on project. Getting cold here in NJ and I have no heat in my garage so this process is gonna take a little longer than it should. I remember you guys were getting upset cause I was taking too long with the clip ons lolol

Yeah, most of us serious followers of the clip-on project got a serious case of "blueballs".
Just kinda teasing you, because I'm confident you can handle it, and also know that you post some really good stuff

.......but it's warm in the house ! move the kitchen table into the garage ......bring the bike in ! it's a win / win !
Maybe, maybe not.
I had a polished 6-71 GMC blower sitting on the fireplace hearth over a winter. I thought it was a fine piece of artwork, but the wife later filed for divorce.

Trust me dude. If I could have I would have had my sled in my spare room, regardless of what my wife had to say. Funny thing is that she wouldn't have a problem with it. She a big gear head herself, her passion is cars though not so much bikes. there is no way to get that bike up to my second floor apartment lol
