My "new to me" softail
Just wanted to share some pics of what I've done to the bike since April.
I think I'm done with the mods for this season

Added:
RSD black ops clarity cam cover
and derby cover
Porthole inspection cover
DIY clear polycarbonate aircleaner cover
Ness big sucker black stage I backplate
Led lights front and back
headlight with led running lights and PIAA bulb
Black HD mirrors
HD black freight train nacelle
Kuryakyn extended trim ring
Detachable Memphis shades batwing
Khrome werks Black Heritage handlebars
(Note: the Kuryakyn trim ring is actually part 7733.
I decided not to install the led halo for now, because my
headlight already has the extra led running lights)
So here are the pics, I wanted to maintain the "black and chrome" look.
Mods are mostly for comfort vs looks

I remember your "work" from over at 1130cc.com -used your pics of your V
Rod several times in building my V. Although I never put those bags/fairing on
Anyway - I'm looking at moving back to a Softail - I had an 06FXST and always liked that bike as they have so much potential.
I had the same problem as you on the Touring Bikes I had an 2010 FLHR - never did really like the thing - way too much vibration - so I got my old VRod
back. Love the V but I'm thinking of going another direction - to more of a
'bobber" look - Softail looks like the way I'll go.

I like the bikes I had in the past, the Vrod, Roadking etc...
each has it's own unique character.
If you're looking at softails, I say go for it.
BTW, miss some of u guys in 1130cc, how's LUX? lol

Waiting on black coil cover and black flush mount led fuel gauge kit

It's a Heritage classic, but I got it pre-owned
and was stripped down. Dealer put new tins on
and basically turned it into a FB prior to the sale.
BTW, although I like the lowered look, Im actually thinking
I need to raise it, as I'm already scraping the boards with the stock susp.
Your bike looks great btw, def unique color and classic look

The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders

Like your pipes, I was thinking of 2-1 pro pipe or true duals maybe in the near future.
(most prob chrome to maintain the black & chrome mix) Still undecided.
though - but it's new and similar to the old Bonneville type's. Shoe is still over there he has over 200k on his V!
I'm really taking a long look at the "Slim" as I am still a solo rider (wife will not ride)
but that's OK --- I always wanted a "bobber" and I think the Slim fills the bill...
But man I really like my V it fits me perfect. Tough decision.
Good hearing from you - Ride Safe and Enjoy....that's a NICE FB
