Default My "new to me" softail

Just thought I share some pics of my bike. It was one of those "love at first test ride"
I was looking at a fatboy and a slim and saw this 2001 on the floor and dealer said "You want to take it for a ride?" Needless to say when I got back I wanted to take it home
Shes an 01 and basically stripped down, no bags, no w/s and the stock turn signals were replaced with an integrated LED tailight and LED T/S in the front. Oh and it came with V&H big radius(sounds great)

I wanted to balance the Chrome and Black and still maintain the "Minimalist" look
so I added a few things:

Dynojet Powervision
Ness Big sucker kit
Lucky Dog black A/C cover with JP cycle wing nut/bolt
Black toolbox
Solo Swingarm bag
Retro handgrips
JP cycles Tachometer
Batt gauge
Black Nacelle kit
Black headlight trim ring
Docking kit and cover for sissy bar
Detachable sissy bar
Mustang Fastback seat
AMP power clutch assist
Front axle covers
DS black horn cover
Extended shift lever
HD oil temp gauge
Vista Cruise throttle cruise
Chrome levers
etc...

AFTER: I apologize for the pics, it's a bit cloudy and foggy today.

Well done.

As I said in my other thread, I love the stripped down look, but for now, I'm headed the other direction.

Thanks guys

Anyway, Southpaw I think I know what you mean, tho I did the opposite and went from a touring to softail.
I just traded my RKC, pretty much because my wife rarely goes with me and
most of my rides are local and I rarely go 2up with the wife and or the kids.
The good thing is that the fatboy can easily be converted to a bagger like you said.
You can even do a detachable batwing and saddlebags can be retrofitted with aftermarket
mounts if you want the whole bagger look. I think a batwing would look good on your black bike.

A batwing you say? Hmmm, I'll have to seriously consider that.

As for me, I ride 2-up about 75% of the time, mostly just day trips with an overnight or two. I've been to a few dealers in the past week looking at RKs, but the cost differential is just more than I'm willing to spend.

I had a short time to evaluate the Memphis shades batwing on my RKC. IMHO its light and easy to install. It also protects your hands from the cold, which the oem w/s is lacking.
If I was to do it over again I would get a simple on and off batwing like that.
(PS-I had an 06 roadking in the past with the Deadcenter radio fairing, color matched to my bike and looks great. But I find the radio a bit distracting and rarely used it.)
