changing spoke on harley wheel?

Default changing spoke on harley wheel?
Can i take a harley 40 spoke wheel, changing the spoke for chrome one, one by one without affect the wheel and the need to take a dial indicator??

you wont get the right torque on each spoke so Id say no

Not a 100% sure, but If you get a torque wrench for spokes and replace them alternating the spkes you replace 180 degrees and work your way around the rim, I think it can be done.

It will never be true if you remove one at a time and try to torque back one by one the hub and wheel will push from one another

I was thinking of doing this exact same thing, bought a set of chrome spokes for my '02 FXDWG to go with the rims and hub on the front. I have a wheel stand and spoke wrench so I'll check my work but I figure this is easier than re-lacing the whole wheel.

How did this work out for you?
