Default New Backrest for 2012 Fatboy

i am a new harley owner and i just bought a new backrest for my 2012 Fatboy and they made me buy a relocation kit for my back turn singles. is this necessary? i didnt think i needed it...

do a forum search, tons of info on it, long of short you need an angle grinder to shave off some fat from the backrest plate, then it fits fine takes a few mins. if you ever plan to do bags, easy just to do relo kit, as they will need to most likely be moved anyway

I didnt bother with the relocation kit. I cut the back with a dremel, smoothed it out, and used my wifes black nail polish as touch up
looks brandy new .HD could have just done this from the start.

Mod in the pic works great. Thats what i did. Its a shame harley wont take time to redesign the brakets to clear the fatboy signals. They would rather rob you of more money to spend on the signal relocation kit

... and besides, the relocation kit makes the signals look F-UGLY!!
