I am wondering if anyone can advise me if the hard bags off of a 2012 FLHRP can be mounted to a 2012 Heritage Classic with big shot staggered exhaust? My old lady wants to get some hard bags painted to match her bike.
Can anyone advise on a mounting kit if they will fit?
I think your good on that fit. I put a set on my Fatboy and the front mounting bracket for the bags is the hole for the passenger foot peg. If your pipes are below the peg the bags don't hang any lower and should be fine. I would suggest Cycle Vision brackets. I didn't use them but wish I had. I had to modify the mounting hole in the bag for the ones I used and also they didn't have the crossover bar in the back which is needed, in my opinion, because they stabilize the bags on rougher roads. It's always better to put big bags on the wife's bike so you can load her down and keep up.
Thanks for the info everyone. I will have to ask her if she want to sell her stock bags. They are in great shape and even have the saggy bags installed.
