I've got a H-D one in my tank. Had an eBay special for a while. One is as good as the other.

I have the HD oil cooler, and also I put the regular analog type temp gauge back in it rather than the digital one. My battery went dead and I've yet to go get another one. You can also see how well your temp gauge is working too, I personally recommend it but who am I? Water boils at 212 degrees. Boil up some water and put the tip down in it once it starts boiling. Mine read 211, 210 I believe it was way back when. I guess it might be a good thing to try out and check out each spring. There's another thing that just made it onto my spring bike list, yipee.

Got mine from JP cycles just an analog gage with "white engine turned face" dipstick is how its described was 31 bucks I think. I had to get used to how it reads oil level vs the stock one but not a big deal.

fwtw Its probably more of a thing to talk about in the parking lot since half the time I forget to even look at it when I get off.

If you are talking about their model 7400455, the comments imply that the stick is not long enough to measure oil level. Is this correct?

I dont know the part number but yes that's the problem I was mentioning its short and straight and the stock one is a swivel as you know.

I talked to their tech about it and I had to pay the freight so I said hell with it and learned how to use it. It was that or smash it on the floor which I almost did after that phone call but I kept my cool sortof.

It reads the oil level right if you can see the tiny lines when the bike is upright is what I figured out where the stock one was read on the kick stand. It took me a bit to get used to where full is on the stand its ok now I got over it.

edit: Yup that's it I went and checked the pt#. Oh and when its full and the bike is on the stand the level is about at the low line or a bit less on the JP stick if that helps anybody fwtw.
