Default Hand grip's

I will be putting the 14", 1.5" Gangster's on my bike. I am sitting here looking at the white grip's I want to order and to put on my bike but I don't know what size to order. I see that the bars taper down at the ends where the grips go on but what does it taper down to, 1" or 7/8" of an inch on the Gangster's? They are no longer here for me to measure because I sent back the 16" bars to exchange out for the 14" bars yesterday and I didn't think to measure them 1st. I also know I can probably Google it but I am right here already where I want to order them from so I was just wondering if anyone knew off of the top's of their heads for a quick answer to my question. If not then I just switch over to Google and let the search begin. I would think that enough guys have gone to these Apes and or swapped out the grip's to be able to help me out with the answer right off of the top of your heads real quick. Then, are the old ones glued on or something? I tugged on them a little and they seem to be on there really tight. Is there a trick to getting them off and when I have the new ones put on are they also glued then too? I would hate them coming off in my hands when going down the road at speed. Thanks in advance for your help and input if anyone has the answer and can help me out real quick.

7/8ths is typically a Metric bike...

1" is typically a Harley measure

Your hfand controls and grips will be 1" the throttle grip requires no glue and should come off when you take apart the hand control. The left grip is glued on. You can cut it off or try to use a coat hanger to loosen the glue. Some have even used compressed air to get them off.

Done a few different set of grips on Carlini's. I ordered black so it is probably due to the powder coating, but I had and still do have an issue with aftermarket grips matching up. They are all 1inch grips for Harley. Just keep in mind you might have to some mods like hone out the throttle grip a little depending on how they line up. I've had two different types of Carlini bars and the same grip lined up differently. The only grips that went on no matter what set up and smooth where the Harley brand grips. Go figure... they do have the plastic interior so maybe that was the case. Also, all grips fit perfect on the HD stock bar, but once aftermarket to aftermarket for some crazy reason they don't always fit... good luck
