I don't think they're flat out dropping them all.
Dealer says several are just being retooled for 2015 to add, among other things, water cooling.

That linked article even says as much:
"..Don't expect to see the FLTRX Road Glide Custom or the FLTRU Road Glide Ultra in 2014, either, though Harley-Davidson promises both bikes will return after a redesign..."

What they should do is commit to what they do have. Drop the Dyna fatbob and make a new version of the Superglide sport. Take XR1200 front end and rear shocks n swing arm and throw them on the Dyna chassis with the black engine and trans. I love my bike but I'd wait in line for this version!

Do you really need 3 versions of the electra glide? It should just be street gilde and just the ultra. Like they did with the Road Glide.
So you have Street glide, electra glide with no rear speakers, then with speakers, and then the bling out version with a trunk rack.
