I have a carb deuce 2003.....im having problems with my imobilizer.sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt..... Is there a way to disable it totaly or do i have to change my ignition module.....saturday night i got on my bike lights went on i disabled the imobilezer and it didnt start......the engine was pretty hot because it was a 2 minute stop......help....... Im just fed up of it...it keeps doing it all the time...
There is a way to change the parameters in the system so that it does not automatically set. It will only set when you press and hold down the key fob. If you can get your hands on a shop manual it tells how to do this. But I cannot recall how to do it right now.
Owners/service manual is your best friend. Complete FOB instructions are included.
By the same token, the FOB is the best method for securing your bike. Set it up properly and you'll never need your key again, or the FOB. The other day I left the house with my keys for the car. Too lazy to go back in, I just used the manual (turn signal buttons) method to disarm the security and enable the ignition. To reverse it, I turn the ignition off and walk away. KISS!
