well I bit the bullet and am in the process of putting on a wide tire kit on my 06 fatboy...it came with a wussy 130 rear tire, so that has to change!!!
going to post pics as I do it this weekend...I got a "jaybrake" wide tire kit. With this kit you can use a stock 07-09 17" rear wheel that uses a 3/4" axle, and they give you a new Harley brand 20mm rear pulley with bolts and spacers for your stock struts

here's before
here's my 07 fatboy rear wheel with the new 200/50-17 metzeler me880 mounted (looks like a freakin monster compared to the wussy 130):
my new rear fender from the kit painted to match my tank/front fender from local body shop (its alittle dusty):
i'll post more pics this weekend as I can get em...wish me luck
That is a monster tire! My 06 had a 150 tire originally. I added a 4.25" rim and a 160 tire, looks better now. But, not a monster tire!! lol
yeah I couldn't believe how big that 200/50-17 looks mounted on that wheel.....toughest part of the job is gonna be taking the inner primary off, just b/c I've never done it before

but I aint "skeered"
Its really not bad at all.. just be VERY VERY careful when undoing bolts. I snapped an inner primary bolt trying to get it out on my last Dyna. REALLY shitty feeling.. LOL! But its not bad.. just be careful and take your time.
